Market Entry applications
Market Entry is the process of getting NHS England authorisation to join the pharmaceutical lists. We can handle this application on your behalf, ensuring the details of your application form are accurate.
General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
We will provide practical, professional guidance about the GPhC regulations which affect all pharmacies, pharmacists, and pharmacy technicians in Britain. This includes advice on complying with principles of good practice, fitness to practice matters, and generally maintaining the high standards of care and service expected of pharmacies.
Medicines & Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA)
The MHRA regulates medicines and medical devices in the UK. We can provide in-depth advice about complying with the MHRA regulations and managing and responding to issues such as the quality and safety of medicines.
Who he acts for
Mel has acted for owner-managed pharmacies, from locums who are making their first pharmacy acquisition to experienced mini corporates and some nationally based corporates.
“We engaged Mel and his firm to handle two of our pharmacy acquisitions. They were both running concurrently with one another. This was a very complicated share/company acquisition. We were given an extremely tight deadline to complete on 1st February 2019. Mel and his team had to handle not only the seller’s solicitor, but the bank appointed lawyer as well as a fourth solicitor acting on behalf seller’s SIPP. This was legal services on another level with a high degree of class. We are ever indebted to Mel and his team forgetting this over the line, and within the strict timeline given by the seller. A great thank you to Mel Kang and Gunnercooke!” Mr A Fazal, owner and director of Seascale Pharmacy [April 2019]
“Mel was handling our second Pharmacy acquisition, side by side with our first. Whilst this was an extremely stressful time for us – it was clear that we had appointed the correct professional and team. We needed a true expert to guide us through this process, and whilst the pharmacy element was handled with relative ease, we had to rely on Mel heavily when it came to the property and new lease to the premises. We had number of issues to overcome, and again Mel had to deal with a number of lawyers on the other side. He had to pretty much guide them, to his way of thinking – which proved to be the sensible option, and with his determination we managed to see this through to completion a few weeks after our first acquisition completed.” Mr S Mirza, owner of Grasmere Pharmacy [April 2019]
“I would like to give a huge thank you to Mel Kang and Julie Grewer for handling the sale of my West Midlands based pharmacy, it flew by with hardly any issues. Julie and Mel did a great job of holding my hand through the entire process. The system they had in place made it really easy for me to deal with. Mel was really quick and efficient at turning around the sale agreement – we managed to exchange well before Christmas and then left it to the buyer to seek his NHS approvals in the new year. A great start to 2019!” Ms R Asghar-Hussain [January 2019]
“I found Mel’s service professional, efficient and speedy. I would recommend Mel to anyone without hesitation.” Mr H Patel Rickmans Pharmacy London [October 2018]
